UKATS Research Team Receives Honorable Mention at P3 CompetitionJune 24th, 2013 by jseay
The UKATS Research Team competed in the US EPA’s 9th Annual People, Prosperity and the Planet Design Competition held in Washington DC. This year’s team took home an honorable mention award as one of the top team’s competing this year. The team’s research project was titled “Developing a Novel Low Cost Biodiesel and Biochar Processor for Rural Cameroon Using Locally Sourced Materials and Feedstocks”. The team’s faculty advisors include Dr. Seay and project Co-PI, Dr. David Silverstein. The 2012 – 2013 P3 Teams members are Bradley Butler, Max Croft, William Croft, Kyle Lewis, Mitchell Peeler, Zac Watson and Christina Willett. In addition the team was joined by Heath High School student Keaton Johnson and St. Mary High School students Wes Averill, Daniel DeNeve, John Higgins and Ross Whittaker.
